The UFC announced Alex Gustafsson is getting his second crack at winning UFC gold against newly crowned champion Daniel Cormier. He’s obviously overjoyed at the news, but it wasn’t a call he was particularly expecting.
"I haven’t been thinking about the belt. I haven’t seen myself in that position because of my loss, but here I am now and I’m very thankful."
The bout isn't attached to a date or event yet, but Alex is targeting a time after the summer while he continues to recover from injuries that forced him out of his original fight with Glover Teixeira.
