By the time Stipe Miocic made his MMA debut in 2010, he was already a regional Golden Gloves boxing champion and had shown success wrestling at the NCAA Division I level. With his traditional wrestleboxer skillset with his athleticism as a heavyweight, he was able to stop his first six opponents by strikes within the first two rounds. Don't let the submission on his record fool you; it was a submission to leg kicks to take the NAAFS heavyweight title. He was signed by the UFC immediately afterwards. To date, he has earned Knockout of the Night against Phil De Fries, performance of the night against Fabio Maldonado, and Fight of the Night his only losses.
